Eva Maria Martinez Gallego

Eva María Martínez Gallego is a prominent figure in the field of law and justice. She obtained her Law degree from the University of Salamanca in 1994 and her PhD in Civil Law from the same university in 2001. She has held several important positions in the administration of justice and academia. Her career includes serving as a specialist judge in civil jurisdiction since 2010 and as the presiding judge of the Family Court of Salamanca. She has also been Director of the Equality Unit of the University of Salamanca and a member of the Recognized Research Group on Law and Women “María Telo” at the same university. Her experience and expertise have been internationally recognized through research stays at foreign institutions such as the École Nationale de la Magistrature in Paris and the Vice Ministry of Gender and Generational Affairs in La Paz, Bolivia. Eva María Martínez Gallego has also been recognized for her contribution to Family Law, particularly for her focus on the best interests of the child and her commitment to justice in family proceedings. Her work has addressed complex issues such as domestic violence and the regulation of disability in legal contexts.
