Dr. Irene Yáñez García Bernalt

Dr. Irene Yáñez García-Bernalt holds a PhD with International Mention from the University of Salamanca, with her thesis titled "Foundations of the Juvenile Justice System: Subjects, Guarantees, and Rights." She has a Law degree and holds both a Master's in Access to the Legal Profession and a Master's in Interdisciplinary Gender Studies, for which she received the Extraordinary Master's Award from the University of Salamanca.
Her research focuses on topics such as: minor victims, procedural aspects of the juvenile justice system, the use of artificial intelligence in criminal proceedings, and procedural issues related to hate crimes committed through technological means. She is also a member of several National Research Projects.
Currently, she is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Procedural Law at the University of Salamanca.
