Juan Manuel Corchado Rodríguez has been serving as the rector of the University of Salamanca since May 2024. She has also been Director of the Equality Unit of the University of Salamanca and a member of the Recognized Research Group on Law and Women “María Telo” at the same university. Her experience and expertise have been internationally recognized through research stays at foreign institutions such as the École Nationale de la Magistrature in Paris and the Vice Ministry of Gender and Generational Affairs in La Paz, Bolivia. Eva María Martínez Gallego has also been recognized for her contribution to Family Law, particularly for her focus on the best interests of the child and her commitment to justice in family proceedings. Encarnación Montoya Martín is a distinguished academic and expert in Economic Administrative Law, with an extensive career and major contributions in various areas of public law. Born in Winterthur, Switzerland, in 1977, she later moved to Seville, Spain, where she has lived ever since, establishing a strong link with the city as a professor at the Faculty of Law. Her family background, as the daughter of emigrants, instilled in her key values such as hard work, the pursuit of knowledge, and the importance of education. Academic background: Dr. Montoya Martín is recognized for her brilliant academic career. In 1995, she obtained her PhD in Law from the University of Seville, earning the Extraordinary Doctorate Award for her thesis “The Guarantees of the Instrumentality of Public Companies Subject to Private Law”, later published under the title “Public Companies Subject to Private Law” by Marcial Pons in 1996. Teaching career: Since 2013, she has been Full Professor of Administrative Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Seville, after serving as Associate Professor from 1997 to 2013. Since February 2022, she has been Director of the AMINER Chair of Mining Studies at the University of Seville, dedicated to research, dissemination, and knowledge transfer to the mining sector, a strategic sector in the transition towards a climate-neutral and digital economic model.

She earned her PhD in Law from the University of Salamanca with her doctoral dissertation titled The Defendant in Criminal Proceedings as the Object of Investigative and Evidentiary Acts, which received the highest distinction of Apto Cum Laude unanimously and was awarded the University's Extraordinary Doctoral Prize. She has participated in various research projects and numerous courses, conferences, and seminars at both national and international levels. Her notable publications include the monographs The Defendant in Criminal Proceedings as the Object of Evidence (1999) and The Incapacitation Process in Law 1/2000 of Civil Procedure: Procedural and Substantive Aspects (2002). She has also published articles in journals, such as "Some Aspects of Evidentiary Activity in Administrative Proceedings" (1999) and "Guarantees of Judicial Impartiality" (2010), as well as contributions to collective works on topics like judicial protection, gender violence mediation, and the presumption of innocence in cases involving particularly vulnerable victims. She is a member of the IUDICIUM: Group of Procedural Studies of the University of Salamanca, recognized as a Group of Excellence in Castilla y León. She is also a co-researcher in the RED IBERPROCESO, focused on contemporary procedural law in Ibero-America. From October 2004 to October 2013, she served as a Legal Advisor to the Constitutional Court. She collaborates as an external evaluator for the National Agency for Evaluation and Foresight and various scientific publications, including the Spanish Journal of Constitutional Law and international legal journals.

Esther B. del Brío González, born in 1969, is a Spanish politician and member of the People’s Party (PP). She has been a Senator for Salamanca since 2015 and was re-elected in 2016. She has also been a member of the Governing Council of the Global Parliamentary Network, representing Europe and the United States. Her work focuses on reducing social inequalities and promoting gender equality. She is also Full Professor of Financial Economics at the University of Salamanca and has coordinated several educational and dissemination projects on gender and economics.

Lorena Zenteno is a Chilean attorney with experience in human rights and environmental issues. She is a former member of the judiciary in Chile. Since 2015 she has been a Law Clerk for the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court, drafting judgments for the Justices, mainly in environmental cases. Lorena is a member of the Environment and Human Rights Commission of the National Association of the Chilean Judiciary, dedicated to train judges and discussing climate change and environmental impacts on human rights. She was a senior researcher for the former UN Special Rapporteur on Cultural Rights, Karima Bennoune, from September 2018 until September 2021. Supported and assisted the UN Special Rapporteur to fulfil his mandate to the UN General Assembly and UN Human Rights Council. Lorena Zenteno got her LL.M. in Environmental Law from the University of Davis, California, in 2020, where she focused specifically on the intersections between human rights, cultural rights, and the environment. She also holds a master’s in business law from the University Pompeu Fabra, in Barcelona, Spain. Lorena’s primary research interests include the human rights dimensions of climate change and environmental impacts, climate change justice, gender, and the judiciary’s role in the climate change crisis. Currently, Lorena is undertaking her Ph.D. in Law at the University of Edinburgh. Since January 2022, she has been working as a senior researcher for the Global Initiative for Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, focusing on climate, energy and gender justice.

Since 2002 he has been an EU Full Professor of Commercial Law, having previously been an Associate Professor of the same discipline for four years. He graduated in Law from the University of Salamanca and has a Diploma in Business Sciences from the same University, specializing in Accounting and Information Systems. School of Legal Practice, with Extraordinary Prize for the best student in the class. Scholarship holder of the Teacher and Research Staff Training Program of the Ministry of Education and Science. He was a substitute Magistrate-Judge of the Courts of Justice for twelve consecutive years by successive appointments of the General Council of the Judiciary, under a competitive system and compatibility of functions. He was a University Defender of the University of Salamanca between 2012 and 2021, being a member of the State Conference of University Defenders, of whose Executive he was a part for three years. He was the founder of the Ibero-American Network of University Ombudsmen in 2018, presiding over the first Electoral Commission of this Ibero-American Network in Argentina. Since 2021 he has been an Advisor to the State Conference of University Defenders He has been a member of various bodies and Commissions at Usal, such as the University Senate, the Economic-Administrative Commission delegated to it, or the Commissions for the Prevention of Harassment in the Workplace and Harassment of Students, among others. His teaching activity is carried out especially in degrees related to Law, Business and Economics, mainly in the Degree in Law, but also in the Degrees in Business Administration and Management, in Economics, in Management and Public Administration, as well as in the recent Degree in Police Studies. He has also taught in Science degrees, such as the Degrees in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Technical Engineering in Management Informatics. At the Postgraduate and Continuing Training level, he teaches in the Master's Degree in Administrative Management, having taught a good number of Master's Degrees, Own Degrees and professional and Training Courses, including Specialization courses in Consumption, or courses for Consumer Inspectors or for members of the National Police Corps. His research and publications have focused on Corporate Law, Competition Law, Financial Market Law, as well as Industrial and Intellectual Property, Consumer Protection, General Product Safety and Liability for Defective Products, Gender Equality in Boards of Directors administration. Majedeh Bozorgi holds a Ph.D. in Procedural Law from the University of Salamanca. She currently serves as Secretary of the Iranian Association for Human Rights in Spain and as the Academic Secretary and Founder of the Annual International Conference on Social Justice and Sustainable Development. She was a visiting researcher at Ghent University (Belgium, 2024–2025). Her research focuses on human rights, gender equality, and transitional justice, with particular attention to legal and social mechanisms of accountability in post-authoritarian contexts and to institutional reforms aimed at achieving justice and reconciliation. In recent years, her work has also incorporated the study of the relationship between artificial intelligence (AI) and human rights, addressing the ethical, social, and normative challenges that AI poses to the protection and promotion of human dignity. She has participated as a speaker, moderator, and organizer in numerous international conferences on human rights, social justice, and transitional governance, and has published articles and book chapters with recognized academic publishers. She has also been actively involved in national and international projects on gender equality and social inclusion.

She earned her PhD (cum laude with international mention, Spain–France) in Administrative Law from USAL in 2023, with a dissertation entitled Evolución de la regulación de la conectividad digital rural: los modelos de inversión directa local como alternativa a la prestación de servicios de comunicaciones electrónicas. Her research interests include rural digital connectivity regulation, local investment models for public services, and the administrative-legal challenges of electronic communications. She is affiliated with the research group NEGUEDA (Next Generation EU – Administrative Law) at USAL.
