Compensation: Based on Experience!

$60 to $65/hour 1099

POSITION DETAILS

GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a Sr. UX Designer/Developer for a Contract, Hybrid role based in Addison, TX! The Sr. UX Developer/Designer will lead the creation of intuitive and visually compelling user experiences for responsive web applications. You will collaborate with the existing technical team, stakeholders, and UI developers to transform business requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and final user interface designs that enhance usability and engagement.

• User-Centered Design and Development: Translate business needs and user insights into clear, accessible, and elegant design solutions
• Wireframing & Prototyping: Create interactive prototypes, mockups, and design specifications using tools such as Figma or Adobe XD
• Design and Developer Documentation: Develop and maintain style guides, design systems, and UX standards
• Accessibility & Usability: Ensure designs meet accessibility (WCAG) standards and usability best practices
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers and QA to ensure design intent is preserved throughout the build process
• Stakeholder Communication: Present concepts and user flows to stakeholders, incorporating feedback iteratively

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

• 3-5+ years of experience in the following technical skill sets… User experience (UX) or interaction design for digital applications
• MUST HAVE STRONG REACT
• Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent design tools
• Deep understanding of UX principles, responsive design, and accessibility (WCAG 2.x)
• Experience conducting user research, usability testing, or heuristic evaluations
• Strong documentation skills for handoff to development teams
• Ability to articulate and defend design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies

• HIGHLY DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED
• Certifications in UX/UI Design (e.g., NN/g UX Certification, Google UX Certificate)
• Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML/CSS) to better collaborate with developers
• Exposure to design handoff workflows using tools like Zeplin or InVision
