Job Description

Seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee our supply chain operations in the dynamic field of manufacturing metals. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for optimizing the end-to-end supply chain process to ensure efficient production, inventory management, and timely delivery of high-quality metal products. Additionally, you will work with the Executive Team to ensure consistent and cost-effective strategies to secure the company’s key raw material supplies. This position will interact with both internal and external stakeholders to execute objectives with the greatest impact on the company’s sustainable development in raw materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee supply chain activities and strategies for operational efficiency, reduce costs, and help to improve overall supply chain performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, logistics, and quality control, to align supply chain processes with organizational goals.
  • Implement and monitor robust inventory management practices to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Evaluate and enhance supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Continuously monitor market trends, global economic factors, and industry developments to proactively identify potential risks and opportunities in the supply chain.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement and leverage advanced supply chain technologies and analytics to drive data-driven decision-making and process optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices related to supply chain and manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related field - Advanced Degree is a plus
  • 4+ years in a Senior Supply Chain Role within the manufacturing sector, with a focus on metals or related industries
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teams
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles, logistics, procurement, and inventory management
  • Experience with ERP systems and other supply chain technologies
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and cost savings initiatives
