Overview:

A leading, growth-focused manufacturing company in the heavy industrial sector is seeking a Senior Director of Supply Chain to lead and optimize its end-to-end supply chain operations across the Americas. This is a high-impact executive role with strategic oversight of purchasing, logistics, warehousing, distribution, and materials management in a low-volume, high-mix environment.

This is an opportunity to join a high-performing leadership team at a company backed by a multi-billion-dollar parent organization. The site is a 500-person U.S. manufacturing hub, with strong operations in metal fabrication, welding, paint, and light assembly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy including sourcing, inventory, fulfillment, logistics, and demand planning.
• Lead a team of 2 direct reports (Directors of Supply Chain and Logistics) and 90+ indirect reports across multiple functions.
• Manage $140 million in annual spend, including strategic supplier relationships and contract negotiations (steel, freight, warehousing, etc.).
• Implement and improve KPI systems, SIOP processes, and cross-functional planning strategies.
• Build supplier partnerships and internal relationships that foster accountability, service excellence, and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with international supply chain standards and legal requirements.
• Drive employee engagement across all levels of the supply chain organization.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in manufacturing supply chain management.
• Strong background in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments; experience in metals, industrial, or heavy industries strongly preferred.
• Proven experience setting up or optimizing warehousing, freight logistics, and supplier contracts (especially steel).
• Deep understanding of supply chain KPIs and process improvement strategies.
• Passionate about employee engagement—must be the type of leader who knows their people by name and builds culture through trust and empowerment.
• Polished communication and executive presence.
• Must be willing to relocate to or live within 30 minutes of Madison, IN; long commutes (e.g., Louisville) are not ideal.
