Job Description
Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing) OR
• 10+ years of equivalent experience in maintenance/manufacturing roles.
Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
• 5–7+ years in maintenance, manufacturing engineering, or MRO/spare parts management
• Ability to read blueprints, CAD drawings, and equipment manuals
• CMMS (Maximo, SAP PM, etc.), Excel (trackers, analytics), PowerPoint, Word
• CAD experience
Preferred Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
• Automotive/industrial manufacturing experience
• Experience with MRO storage systems (kitting, vending, inventory optimization)
• Exposure to Project Management for spare parts standardization/process improvement
Required Soft Skills:
• Problem-solving, organization, teamwork, and detail orientation
• Independent judgment with minimal supervision
Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret equipment spare parts diagrams, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and engineering drawings
• Develop and optimize spare parts strategies (criticality, stocking levels, lead times)
• Cross-reference international parts with domestic alternatives for cost/lead time efficiency
• Use CMMS (Maximo or similar) for tracking spares, work orders, and maintenance planning
• Manage Indirect Crib (MRO storage) systems and inventory control
• Liaise with suppliers to clarify technical specs, costs, and lead times
• Collaborate with Indirect Materials/Purchasing teams for sourcing strategies
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams
• Strong written/verbal skills for vendor negotiations and internal stakeholder alignment
