About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented  SolidWorks Drafter to join our engineering/design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks. You’ll work closely with engineers, project managers, and fabricators to translate concepts and prototypes into precise technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed 3D CAD models and lifelike renderings and 2D fabrication drawings using SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar drafting software
• Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and project requirements to produce accurate designs
• Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs meet performance and manufacturability requirements
• Maintain organized drawing files and adhere to company documentation standards
• Support prototype development and review designs for improvements
• Create bills of materials (BOMs) and assembly instructions

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or certification in Drafting, Mechanical Design, or related field (Bachelor's a plus)
• Proficiency in  SolidWorks (including assemblies, sheet metal, and weldments) and AutoCAD or similar 2D drafting software
• 2+ years of hands on experience using Solidworks in mechanical/structural drafting or CAD design
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of materials, fasteners, and fabrication techniques
• Experience with design for manufacturability
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with PDM systems and file management is a plus

Salary Range: $55,000 to $65,00
