Job Description

The HR Manager is responsible for driving, supporting and administration in the leadership of the company both internally and externally. The HR Manager will work very closely with Bleckmann senior leadership to develop, implement, and guide continuous improvement, compliance, growth, and balance for the success of the organization and Bleckmann Heroes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Overseeing recruitment, selection, and the onboarding process
  • Managing a company’s appraisal system and conducting appraisal meetings
  • Ensuring that a company’s procedures comply with employment regulations
  • Develop, deliver, and manage annual and ongoing training of the leadership team
  • Monitoring various aspects of an employee’s performance, such as attendance and sick leave
  • Handling any disciplinary processes and formal grievances
  • Analyzation, Setting and reviewing pay structures and employee perks and benefits
  • Develop and implement Bleckmann Hero engagement programs
  • Process payroll and all other paperwork related to employee file and compliance management
  • Handles company apparel process

The HR Manager will help Bleckmann run smoothly by ensuring that all company processes are compliant with employment regulations and that all personnel act in line with company policies. A large part of the job involves supporting current staff by dealing with employee grievances or conflicts. They also ensure that the company attracts the best candidates for open vacancies.

OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:

  • Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules
  • Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:

  • Education/Experience:
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen and effectively verbalize ideas
  • Strong leadership skills to guide Bleckmann Heroes, Leadership team and HR team (if applicable) and support and motivate staff
  • A solid understanding of the key principles of employment law
  • The ability to remain calm in stressful situations including during disciplinary hearings or staff conflicts
  • Knowledge of the relevant computer systems and software programs including Kronos and other HR software
  • Solid ethics and morals and sound judgement

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position will primarily be in an office environment. Some travel may be required when visiting new or potential client sites. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when in the warehouse areas. PPE will include closed toed shoes and reflective vests along with any other necessary protection. Temperatures in the warehouse can range a great deal from season to season.
