Security Officer – Luxury Retail (NYC)
We’re seeking a professional Security Officer to support the safety of customers, employees, and merchandise in a luxury retail environment. This role focuses on theft prevention, emergency response, and asset protection, while working closely with store leadership and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor store for theft and safety risks using surveillance and reporting tools
- Conduct investigations and collaborate with leadership to resolve incidents
- Respond to emergencies, including medical situations, and support safety protocols
- Assist with audits, loss prevention training, and daily security operations
- Liaise with law enforcement and neighboring stores when needed
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents, recoveries, and policy violations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; security certifications a plus
- Prior experience in retail security or hospitality preferred
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and loss prevention
- Calm, professional demeanor in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
