Position Overview

Our Client is seeking a dynamic and innovative Research and Development (R&D) Manager to lead the product innovation and development lifecycle across its diverse portfolio of bedding and home textile products. The R&D Manager will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, testing, and launching new product lines that meet consumer needs, industry trends, and company goals. This position will work cross-functionally with design, sourcing, production, quality control, marketing, and executive leadership to bring products from idea to shelf with efficiency, quality, and profitability.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary : $80,000-$95,000 USD/Annually

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the research, design, testing, and development of products
• Collaborate with design, production, and sourcing team to align with cost, quality, and development timelines
• Analyze market trends, consumer feedback, and industry innovations to identify new product opportunities
• Work closely with supplier and manufacturers to develop samples and prototypes
• Implement and manage R&D processes and systems to improve product performance and speed to market
• Support merchandising and marketing teams with technical product knowledge
• Provide regular updates and product development reports to senior leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Science, Product Design, Engineering, or related field
• 5 or more years of experience in product development or R&D within textiles, home goods, or consumer products
• Strong understanding of textile materials, construction, testing, and compliance standards
• Demonstrated success in bringing products from concept to market
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Creative problem-solver with a passion for innovation and detail
• Experience working with domestic and international suppliers/manufacturers

Compensation

The published salary range is used as a guide to provide prospective candidates with a level of compensation that is competitive with today’s market. The salary range for this position is a good faith estimate that allows for flexibility to align with various levels of experience, education, and performance.
