Position Overview

We are seeking highly experienced Project Managers with strong backgrounds in aviation-related design and construction. This position oversees all aspects of project execution, including budget, schedule, technical scope, stakeholder coordination, and regulatory compliance.

The Project Manager is responsible for:

  • Proactively managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and deliverables
  • Leading cross-functional teams to deliver quality outcomes
  • Coordinating with airport operations, city departments, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental codes, safety standards, and airport-specific operational protocols

This is an onsite role in Austin, Texas. Candidates must be willing to relocate.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in construction project management, including major infrastructure programs
  • Extensive experience in airport-related construction (taxiways, runways, terminals, concourse buildouts, tunnels, utilities)
  • Ability to successfully pass a TSA criminal background check
  • Strong working knowledge of environmental codes, regulatory requirements, and contract administration
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, SharePoint
  • PMP certification required (must obtain within 9 months of hire if not already certified)
  • Valid Driver’s License

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects from planning through closeout, ensuring delivery on scope, budget, and schedule
  • Oversee contract administration, technical specifications, and design standards
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement and communication across multiple agencies
  • Prepare RFQ/RFP packages, council documentation, reports, and presentations
  • Monitor progress, manage risks, and support change management processes
  • Review contractor pay applications, cost reports, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
  • Support construction oversight, field inspections, and issue resolution
  • Ensure final closeout deliverables (as-builts, O&M manuals, warranties) are completed

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $165,000 – $175,000 annually
