Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily label manufacturing operations across printing, converting, inspection, and finishing processes.
• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer deadlines and minimize downtime.
• Lead, mentor, and manage production staff; foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor and report on key production metrics, including throughput, scrap rates, machine utilization, and labor efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards across all production activities.
• Drive lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the production floor.
• Coordinate material usage and inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure job readiness.
• Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluations for production personnel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory or management experience in label manufacturing, packaging, or a related industry.
• Strong understanding of label production workflows, including flexographic or digital printing, die-cutting, laminating, and finishing.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing KPIs, lean principles, and process improvement tools.
• Proven leadership ability with experience in managing production teams in a high-volume environment.
• Familiarity with ERP or production management systems (e.g., Label Traxx, EFI, or others).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven setting.
