• Compensation: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
• Worksite Location: Sartell, MN

What you’ll do as the Prior Authorization Specialist:

• Work with insurance companies to make sure that prior authorization and referral requirements are met
• Manually verify patient eligibility and coverage for requested services
• Communicate with insurance companies to obtain necessary authorizations
• Ensure compliance with insurance company guidelines and policies
• Maintain accurate records of authorization requests and outcomes, document and track all communication with insurers, providers, and patients
• Assist patients with understanding their insurance coverage and benefits
• Contact patients to advise them of co-payment due at time of service

What you’ll bring to the Prior Authorization Specialist role:

• Familiar with insurance policies and procedures, and the ability to use independent judgment in a medical setting
• Ability to maintain a working knowledge of carrier contracts/changes and departmental policies and procedures is required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately review documents
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Proficient in using computer systems and software applications
• Experience in Radiology would be a significant plus
