Location: Baltimore, MD 21224 - Remote

Duration: 6 Months Contract + Hire

  • W2 Contract-to-Hire, 6 Months
  • This position is 100% remote. Candidates must be based in Maryland, Washington, DC, or Northern Virginia.
  • Candidates should be comfortable working Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.

Overview:

  • Work with a leading healthcare firm in the Medicaid and Medicare sector as an Enrollment Technician. This critical role ensures the accurate and timely enrollment of members into corporate systems, directly contributing to seamless member services. You will be responsible for precise data entry, resolving enrollment discrepancies, and processing various membership events in a fast-paced, productivity-focused environment. This is a fantastic contract-to-hire opportunity for a detail-oriented individual looking for a long-term remote position within the DMV area.

You will…

  • Accurately enroll members and new members into corporate enrollment systems according to contract and service agreements.
  • Research and resolve enrollment system discrepancies to verify enrollment status.
  • Process membership terminations and other enrollment-related events.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy (96% target) while processing 30-50 enrollments per day.
  • Format and formulate Excel sheets for reporting purposes (no pivot tables required).
  • Conduct occasional outbound calls to verify or confirm basic information.
  • Adapt swiftly to multiple and rapidly changing priorities.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and 2+ years of experience in membership enrollment, member services, billing, claims operations, and/or data analysis.
  • Mandatory experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and D-SNP (Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans) enrollment processing.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Outlook for email, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel for formatting reports).
  • Proven ability to work effectively with large volumes of data.
  • Reliable internet provider to ensure consistent remote work capability.
  • Able to meet productivity metrics/key performance indicators (KPIs) and professionally receive feedback.
  • Ability to learn and comprehend details of client accounts, process flow diagrams, and health insurance enrollment software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of HealthEdge software for processing enrollment files.
  • Experience with Facets and/or EAM (for Edward AM) software systems.
  • Strong typing skills (e.g., 100 WPM).
