We are seeking a proactive and self-motivated Mortgage Loan Officer to join an established team. This role requires sourcing your own business and cultivating new client relationships. You will be responsible for originating residential mortgage loans, guiding borrowers through the application process, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience from initial inquiry to loan closing. Key Responsibilities: Prospect and generate new business through referrals, networking, and marketing strategies Originate 1–2 mortgage loans per month, targeting $15–20 million in annual loan volume Conduct borrower consultations in person or remotely to assess financial needs and loan options Submit complete and accurate loan files, coordinating with processing, underwriting, and closing teams Maintain full compliance with lending regulations and company policies Uphold high ethical standards in all borrower and partner interactions Participate in team meetings and training to stay current on industry guidelines and product offerings Qualifications: ~5+ years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer or similar role ~ Valid NMLS license required ~ Proven ability to self-generate leads and close deals ~ Strong knowledge of mortgage lending practices, loan products, and underwriting guidelines ~ Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills ~ Tech-savvy and comfortable working in both remote and office environments
