Job Description

Perform a variety of responsibilities related to managing pre-apprenticeship programs that support pathways to employment with area manufacturers. This position will work closely with employers, community colleges, community organizations, and government agencies to develop talent pipelines that meet industry demand and create equitable access to high-quality careers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Development & Project Execution 

• Maintain and track program activities to ensure alignment with timelines, standards, and performance metrics/outcomes
• Coordinate recruitment, assessment, and enrollment processes
• Ensure consistent delivery of career readiness, training, and job placement services
• Troubleshoot challenges and implement solutions in real time
• Design and deliver in-person and web-based presentations and training 
• Provide technical assistance to key stakeholders on the project 
• Conduct monthly reviews and assessments of projects to ensure alignment with contract deliverables

Partner & Community Engagement 

• Build and maintain relationships with employers, educators, and community partners 
• Represent the program at events and meetings as needed
• Coordinate logistics for partner participation in programming, including coordinating wrap-around services such as transportation and childcare
• Lead efforts, including prospecting and presentations, to secure pre-apprenticeship connections
• Work in conjunction with other team members and partners to develop pathways from pre-apprenticeship into Registered Apprenticeship

Data & Reporting Oversight 

• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into systems such as OSOS and Salesforce
• Prepare reports for internal and external use
• Use data to identify trends, inform decisions, and support continuous improvement
• Participate in quarterly audits with program oversight agencies to ensure accuracy and timely data entry 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Familiarity with key workforce development concepts, present-day challenges, and emerging solutions (e.g., career pathways, skills gaps, pre-apprenticeship, Registered Apprenticeship, skills-based hiring)
• Ability to translate goals into actionable plans, prioritize tasks that drive measurable outcomes, and be proactive in identifying and solving problems
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with a variety of stakeholders
• Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, especially when presenting proposals and reports
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint). Knowledge of Salesforce, or other CRM, is helpful
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for frequent outreach and engagements
• Have flexibility in availability to support activities outside of regular business hours
• Completion of a satisfactory background check is required 

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in training, workforce development, operations, recruiting, manufacturing, human resources, or related fields
• Demonstrated experience in program management
• Workforce programming experience, especially pre-apprenticeship programs, and working knowledge of community college systems and other industry training providers

Compensation: Salary range is $60,000 to $70,000. Benefits package includes PTO, generous 401(k), and health/life/LTD insurance.
