Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lineman to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for creating and managing switching procedures, coordinating with the control center, and ensuring switch plans are accurately written, approved, and scheduled. This role is critical to maintaining safe and reliable distribution operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, write, and update switching procedures for upcoming work.
• Coordinate with the control center to ensure switch plans are accurate and complete.
• Submit switch plans for review, track approvals, and manage scheduling.
• Serve as a point of contact for the control center to address follow-up questions and clarify procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including a group of six coordinators, engineers, and field personnel.
• Maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and safety in all operational activities.

Typical Day:

• Review upcoming switch plans for half-day or full-day operations.
• Draft, submit, and revise switch plans as needed for approval.
• Work closely with the control center for coordination and handoff.
• Follow up on questions and ensure execution aligns with approved plans.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a trouble man/lineman or in a similar field within distribution electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of distribution operations and safety procedures.
• Experience coordinating, scheduling, and collaborating with internal teams.
• Familiarity with Oracle NMS preferred but not required.
