Role Description

This is a full-time on-site, hybrid or remote role for a Life Insurance Underwriter & Case Manager at Cornerstone Advisors - Ensure You'll Endure™ located in Allentown, PA. The role involves day-to-day tasks related to underwriting individual life insurance policies, managing cases, and ensuring financial security for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the underwriting process from informal inquiry through policy delivery
• Participate in virtual client meetings to explain the underwriting process and gather medical history
• Order and track medical records, exams, and other requirements with diligence and follow-through
• Build and manage complete medical files and case documentation
• Shop cases to multiple carriers and negotiate underwriting offers
• Analyze and summarize underwriting results for advisors and clients
• Prepare and submit formal applications, and gather financial or legal documents when needed
• Review policies for accuracy, prepare delivery letters, and coordinate first-year premium payments
• Provide consistent, weekly updates on all pending cases to internal team members

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in permanent individual life insurance underwriting and case management
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• A proactive, client-first mindset
• The ability to juggle multiple cases without sacrificing attention to detail
• Experience working with business owners, their advisors, and high-net-worth individuals
• Analytical Skills, Communication Skills
• Experience in Insurance and Underwriting
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred but not required
• Travel (air) requirements - two times per year
