Job Description

Our client a well-established, veteran-owned renewable energy contractor, is currently hiring a Ground Crew Team Leader to oversee installation teams for commercial EV charging stations and solar electrical systems. This full-time role will be based primarily in New York , with travel to nearby states including Vermont, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts (occasional work in New Jersey possible).

Key Role Responsibilities:

• Lead crews performing site preparation and commercial electrical installation
• Manage trenching, equipment pad placement, vault and transformer pad installation, and related site work
• Operate excavation and heavy equipment (excavators, skid steers, lull, etc.)
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and spec sheets to execute accurate installations
• Maintain close communication with utility reps, inspectors, internal leadership, and clients
• Provide daily project updates, documentation, and as-built records via mobile and cloud-based tools

Required Experience & Skills:

• 5+ years of commercial electrical and site work experience (both required)
• Strong understanding of commercial EV charging and solar systems (preferred)
• Experience in team leadership and job site coordination
• Skilled with trenching, concrete work, conduit installation, and transformer pad prep
• Proficient in reviewing plans, performing material take-offs, and maintaining site documentation
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight as needed
