Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on and adaptable HR Generalist to support our clients manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in HR practices and some experience in payroll processing. The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting plant-level HR functions, ensuring compliance, and fostering a positive work environment for our production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for hourly and salaried employees on HR-related matters.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding for plant and warehouse roles, including job postings, interviews, and orientation.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure timely updates in HRIS systems.
  • Assist with payroll processing, including timecard reviews, shift differentials, and coordination with payroll teams.
  • Administer attendance tracking, leave of absence requests, and FMLA documentation.
  • Support safety initiatives and compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities and recognition programs.
  • Assist with investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance management processes.
  • Partner with supervisors and managers to ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of payroll processes and timekeeping systems (e.g., Kronos, ADP).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across shifts and departments.
  • Familiarity with labor laws, safety regulations, and HR compliance requirements.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
