Service Technician

AirCo Air Conditioning, Heating & Plumbing – Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to residential HVAC service calls.
• Diagnose HVAC system issues and implement effective repair solutions.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on heating and cooling systems.
• Conduct routine tasks such as filter changes, coil inspections, mechanical lubrication, and refrigerant checks.
• Use specialized diagnostic tools to locate system malfunctions and determine repair strategies.
• Test system components to ensure proper operation.
• Install or replace defective components (e.g., compressors, motors, controls, valves).
• Complete system upgrades or new equipment installations as needed.
• Maintain accurate service records detailing tasks performed, parts used, and time spent.
• Communicate clearly with customers about system status, repair recommendations, and maintenance options.
• Promote maintenance agreements and educate customers on long-term system care.
• Follow all safety procedures and handle refrigerants in compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving record
• EPA Certification required
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
