* REQUIRED: this client is specifically seeking candidates with at least 4 years of experience in the US military with a Mechanical/Electrical MOS *

Electrician’s Mates, Generator Technicians or similar MOS are ideal

Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a Field Service Technician for their San Jose CA territory. Compensation: $40.00-60.00/hour base (+ OT, per diem, and bonuses, Company truck, tools, laptop, and full PPE provided; company also offers a generous pension program.) Total first year OTE up to $135,000

What You Will Do:

Service electrical infrastructure across industrial, utility, and mission-critical facilities. Former military electricians, power-generation technicians, or maintenance personnel thrive in this environment.

• Perform maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical distribution systems up to 15kV
• Operate and test switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, relays, and other protective equipment
• Document field work using mobile digital tools
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and customer representatives
• Follow all required (OSHA and NFPA 70E, etc.) safety protocols

Education and Work Experience:

• Must have at least 4 years of US Military experience (Mechanical/Electrical MOS required); roles such as Electrician’s Mate, Generator Technician, or similar is highly preferred
• Electrical/mechanical experience in power generation or distribution systems
• Comfortable working on energized equipment and using arc flash PPE
• Valid driver’s license and reliable travel availability
