Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Education Coordinator to help power IEC’s national professional development efforts. In this role, you’ll coordinate virtual webinars, support national training courses, and manage key logistics that allow IEC members and Chapters to access top-tier education and leadership development. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys managing projects from start to finish, working cross-functionally, and being part of a mission-driven team.

Key Responsibilities:

Webinar & Virtual Training Support

o Plan and coordinate IEC’s monthly professional development webinars

o Handle scheduling, speaker outreach, and all Zoom logistics (live hosting, recording, post-event access)

o Source presenters based on IEC’s annual educational topic list

o Partner with Marketing to promote webinars and drive attendance

o Maintain engagement dashboards and post-event feedback reports

Training Programs and Courses

o Assist in scheduling and administering training and courses including the national Project Management course, Foreman Training Program, etc.

o Set up online access and course materials; distribute physical materials to Chapters

o Coordinate billing and reconciliation

o Issue certificates and deploy post-course surveys

o Track progress and maintain detailed timelines for each course

o Work with subject matter experts to organize content and training logistics

o Format and standardize program materials and documentation

o Keep consistent communication with instructors and track updates

Program Development & Logistics

o Test new virtual learning tools and support content launches

o Help create Executive Director training packages annually, repurposing IEC materials

o Provide administrative and delivery support for new training programs

o Provide administrative support for workforce development programs

o Maintain organized records and assist with data entry, reporting, and compliance tracking

Cross-Team Collaboration

o Coordinate with Membership, Workforce Development, Sponsorship and Marketing teams to ensure alignment

o Support the logistics and delivery of member training events, surveys, and initiatives

o Provide responsive and helpful support to members participating in educational programs

Basic Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of experience in training coordination, education, or events (association or nonprofit setting a plus)

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail

• Comfortable with Zoom, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic learning tools (e.g., LMS, SurveyMonkey)

• Excellent communication skills and follow-through

• Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with grace

• Collaborative spirit and willingness to support teammates and members

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly, professionally, and effectively to diverse audiences.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and remain standing for extended periods as needed

Salary:

The base salary range for this position starts at $63,000 annually but can be higher dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Location:

Hybrid based out of Chicago, IL or Nashville, TN. This is not a fully remote role.
