Project Assistant – Contract-to-Hire | Kansas City, MO

Location: Onsite – Kansas City, MO 64114

Contract Duration: 7 Months (Contract-to-Hire)

Pay Rate: $23–$26/hr (W2)

Start Date: ASAP

About the Role:

We’re seeking three organized and tech-savvy Project Assistants to join a fast-paced engineering and construction team based out of Kansas City. This is a 100% onsite role with strong potential to convert to permanent employment after the contract period.

You’ll work alongside project managers and document control professionals to support active engineering projects through hands-on documentation, communication, and coordination.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist document control and PM teams on multiple small to mid-size projects
• Support data entry and electronic documentation setup and workflows
• Issue transmittals and compile electronic project data books
• Coordinate with engineers to manage and distribute project documents
• Use tools such as MS Office , SDx , Procore , Aconex , and Ineight
• Track project documentation and flag issues to appropriate teams
• Collaborate with teams across KC, Chicago, and Oklahoma offices
• Ensure quality standards and project timelines are met

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 3+ years of relevant experience (document control preferred)
• Strong computer skills and adaptability to new tech
• Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Engineering or construction industry experience highly preferred
• Experience with SDx, Procore, Aconex, Ineight is a big plus
