Montefiore Einstein has exclusively retained Kirby Bates Associates to conduct a search for a Director of Nursing Excellence for their Moses Campus in the Bronx.

We are seeking a visionary Director of Nursing Excellence to lead the hospital’s journey to Pathway to Excellence ®.

What You Will Do:

• Lead the Pathway Journey: Oversee the strategy, submission, and implementation process for the ANCC Pathway to Excellence® designation.
• Build the Foundation: Establish the framework and infrastructure needed to support excellence in nursing practice, including shared governance, professional development, and nurse well-being.
• Champion Culture: Collaborate with nursing and hospital leadership to drive a positive, inclusive, and professional practice environment for all nursing staff.
• Support Magnet Preparation: Develop long-term plans and systems that will support eventual Magnet® designation, including evidence-based practice, outcomes tracking, and nurse engagement initiatives.
• Guide and Inspire: Serve as a mentor, resource, and champion for nurses across the Moses Campus, from bedside to boardroom.
• Celebrate Success: Highlight the voices, contributions, and stories of nurses to help Montefiore shine as a model of nursing excellence.

What You Will Bring:

• Master’s degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field.
• Active or eligible for RN license in NY.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience.
• Direct experience with Pathway to Excellence or Magnet designation/redesignation in a complex healthcare setting.
• Certification in Nursing Leadership or Professional Development preferred.
