Job Title : Legal Operations Manager

Job Summary: The Director of Legal Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the legal department, ensuring efficiency, and implementing best practices. This role involves optimizing workflows and supporting a team of legal professionals to help achieve the organization's legal needs. The role will also be responsible for Ironclad admin workflows and hypercare, contracting and redlining (NDAs, affiliation, amendments, SOWs), and leveraging technology such as Ironclad, AI tools, DocuSign, LexisNexis, and Copilot agents to enhance process efficiencies. This role will also be responsible for both internal and external relationships for the legal department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the legal department.
• Oversee the selection and management of legal vendors and negotiate contracts and renewals.
• Implement and maintain legal technology solutions to streamline processes and support legal team.
• Collaborate with other departments to support the organization's overall goals and objectives.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the legal operations function.
• Enhance process efficiencies through the use of technology, including Ironclad, AI tools, DocuSign, LexisNexis, and Copilot agents.
• Manage contracting and redlining processes for NDAs, affiliation, amendments, and SOWs.
• Foster relationships both internally (cross-functionally with supply chain and Opco) and externally (with vendors and outside counsel).
• Develop and enforce policies and processes to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Lead change management initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
• Utilize data analytics and reporting to inform decision-making and track performance.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in legal operations or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of legal concepts and principles.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in legal technology and data analytics.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience in budget management and vendor negotiations.

Preferred Skills :

• Advanced degree (e.g., JD, MBA) is a plus.
• Experience with e-billing, matter management, and knowledge management systems.
• Familiarity with industry trends and changes in law.
