Launch your career at LaClare Family Creamery! We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated Cheese Production Operator to support our 1st shift team in crafting the highest quality of cheeses. This position will typically work Monday-Thursday 5am - 2pm with some overtime as necessary, includes competitive pay starting at $21.50/hour, full benefits, and monthly bonus opportunities!

Reports to: Packaging Supervisor

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Operates equipment in the soft cheese make process, successfully making a safe, quality product.
  • Work with Chevre Packaging Supervisor and production team to complete all tasks within the production areas.
  • Performs product tests, records results, and makes necessary adjustments according to recipe specifications.
  • Monitors, prepares, and changes equipment in the chevre make process.
  • Remains aware of work environment sounds to detect abnormalities in equipment operation.
  • Assists with all production runs and documenting all steps in make procedure to ensure accurate, consistent, safe, and quality products every time.
  • Sanitation: Keep a clean work environment. Wash, rinse, sanitize and return all equipment back to its designated area immediately after done using. Complete time of use, daily, weekly, biweekly, and monthly sanitation scheduled responsibilities along with documentation once work is complete.
  • Follows all policies and procedures LaClare Creamery has implemented regarding food and personal safety to assist in maintaining a safe work environment and safe, quality products at all times.
  • Effectively promotes Company values and culture drivers.
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Attributes:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in manufacturing or food manufacturing.
  • Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with machinery.
  • Food safety and sanitation experience is preferred.
  • Attention to detail is required.
  • Be able to lift 50+ pounds continuously, stand for 10 hours/day and occasionally twist, bend, climb, grasp, and other repetitive movements.
  • Flexible to various creamery environments throughout make process; pumper, presses, mixer, making, and packaging.
  • Training Requirements:
  • Annually complete all trainings within LaClare Creamery Training Matrix
  • Annually complete HACCP training
  • Understand cheese makes
