The personal training position at TMPL Fitness focuses on creating a high-level fitness experience for members at a luxury gym. Trainers create value in our fitness programs by delivering the best fitness programs, coaching and connecting with clientele. Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver personalized training programs tailored to clients’ fitness goals, abilities, and health conditions.
- Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments to track client progress and adjust training plans accordingly.
- Apply expertise in exercise physiology, biomechanics, and anatomy to create safe and effective workouts.
- Provide coaching on proper form, injury prevention, and recovery techniques to optimize results.
- Offer sports performance coaching to enhance clients’ strength, endurance, agility, and mobility.
- Educate clients on proper nutrition, lifestyle habits, and overall wellness strategies to support their fitness journey.
- Engage in business development efforts , including promoting personal training services, client retention, and membership sales.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive engagement, motivation, and long-term success.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe training environment , adhering to all health and safety protocols.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, certifications, and continuing education to provide cutting-edge training techniques.
- Support the personal training team and enhance the brand by creating and sharing engaging social media posts.
Essential Requirements (Must-Have)
- Personal Training Certification (NASM, ACE, ISSA, ACSM, NSCA, or equivalent)
- CPR/AED Certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a personal trainer in a gym or health club setting
- Proficiency in program design for strength training, mobility, weight loss, and endurance
- Ability to conduct fitness assessments and track client progress
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and retain clients
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
- Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field
- Experience in sales and membership retention (upselling personal training packages)
- Background in group fitness instruction or specialized training methods (e.g., functional training, corrective exercise, Kettlebells, Olympic lifting)
- Experience working with special populations (e.g., seniors, athletes, post-rehabilitation clients)
- Proficiency with fitness tracking software and CRM systems for client management
- Strong knowledge of nutrition and recovery strategies
