Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Biologist to provide hands-on laboratory work, focusing on agrobacterium-mediated plant transformation and the molecular characterization of transgenic events. As the selected candidate, you will maintain plants in a greenhouse setting while ensuring a well-organized lab environment.

This is a fully onsite position located in St. Louis, MO. Local candidates are preferred as relocation cost reimbursement is not available.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct agrobacterium-mediated plant transformation experiments.
• Perform molecular characterization of transgenic events.
• Maintain and care for plants in a greenhouse environment.
• Ensure proper lab organization and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with team members on various research projects.
• Adhere to safety protocols and PPE requirements in the lab.

Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in plant biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or microbiology.
• Minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience, preferably with a focus on research activities.
• Familiarity with tissue culture and sterile techniques.
• Knowledge of molecular cloning and gene regulation is a plus.
• Experience with microscopy techniques is advantageous.
